If the handmade soap maker can use a fragrance that requires 20% less volume than the typical amount of fragrance required in any particular recipe, wouldn't that constitute a 20% savings from the original fragrance cost?

Make sure when you are making fragrance purchases that your fragrance supplier guarantees that their products are undiluted. There are many soap and fragrance forums that will give feedback from other soapmakers that can greatly help in your decision. Be sure that the forum poster is making a similar type of product to you so your results will be similar.I have recommended some fragrance makers before only to bve disappointed by subsequent purchases from that particulr vendor. So my suggestion to the the new handmade soap maker is that all fragrance suppliers have both superior and inferior products and the only way to truely know if they are right for you is to try them yourself. The forums act as a nice guide , though patience and experimentation are the only sure ways to find the fragrances that work for you. Handmade soap is a product that takes time and patience to perfect. Once you find a reliable supplier, that compliments you in this endeavor, treat them well.
