Handmade soap marketing can be done on the internet
for soap making newcomers at a fraction of the cost of opening
a brick and mortar store. Along with the marketing powerhouse
Ebay, there are many other outlets in which you can sell your
homemade soap products. Some of these sites have no listing
fees and are a very good way to get started.
Ecrater.com is one of these sites that has no fees to list items.
It also has feeds from its listings that transfer your product
listings into the Google base database. This is an excellent
feature that can get you additional exposure. I would shy away
from any site that does not take advantage of this feature.
Next is the rapidly growing site called Etsy. This site has
listing fees that are half of that of Ebay and has a very nice
site set-up that is condusive to an excellent buyer experience.
The site is also optimally laid out to get good results in the
natural search engine rankings of all of the major search engines.
This is a definite bonus that you can take advantage of by being
sure that you you choose good keyword titles and also do multiple
item listings so that your item stays listed longer and has
a chance to gain some search love.
Check out Bluejay.com and Ubid.com for additional outlets for
your bath and body products. If you hear of any outlets not
mentioned here please send then along to us so we can inform
our listeners and share the knowledge.
There are many new outlets for soap sales since this article was first written.
These include Amazon and Pinterest. Although you cannot sell on
Pinterest you can advertise and start your own section to promote
items that you have made. Great pictures and images is a must
on both pltforms.
